The weather here in Southern Utah is starting to be really nice! Not a cloud in the sky and the temperatures in the high 60's low 70's. What could be better than that? How about enjoying some homemade sorbet to match the great weather?

When it starts to get warm, one of my favorite things to do to celebrate is make a refreshing sorbet. I know it isn't exactly ice cream, but it still has the same cold, sweet affect. And it just sounds fancier doesn't it? So this year I decided to try something new: Mango sorbet. I'm going to share my recipe and if my husband and I loved it or loathed it.

Find a Recipe
First things first was I had to find a recipe. I ended up going with this one that I had pinned on my Pinterest page awhile back when I was dreaming of better weather. (By the way if you haven't check out my Pinterest you totally should! I have so many more great recipes saved on there)
I love this recipe because it only has five ingredients. That's right. All you need is mango, sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and a smidge of salt. That's not the only good thing, it also serves 8 people and you don't need an ice cream machine. Making yourself a sweet treat shouldn't be hard people!

The Results are in...
So after blending everything together and letting it freeze for a long time, well it felt like time anyways, it was finally time to taste test. I'm not going to lie I was a little nervous to try this one because mango isn't my favorite flavor. I'm more of a strawberry gal, but I wanted to try something out of my comfort zone. (if you were wondering, here's my favorite strawberry recipe)
So my husband and I sat done and dug in. At first we were quiet, soaking it all in and tasting all the ingredients. And then we both looked up and smiled. Because we found it. Our new favorite late night treat. It was all things creamy, tropical, and rich. If this is approved by me and my husband this is something you definitely need to try! And let me know when you do.
